Allowed me to future-proof my business & income

Camille Pierson – Health Coach Graduate

Being able to work online as a Health Coach has not only diversified my business offering, it’s allowed me to future-proof my business and income in such uncertain times.

What did you do before studying at CNM?

In 2015, I set up a wellbeing centre in Hove, UK called The Float Spa, offering floatation therapy, yoga classes, infrared sauna, massage plus a range of complementary therapies across 3000 square feet and 8 rooms. The Float Spa now amasses over 21,000 clients and all the therapies are aimed at improving mental and physical wellbeing.

What made you want to become a Health Coach?

The Float Spa temporarily closed during the Covid-19 lockdowns, so I decided to use this time to further enhance my own knowledge and future-proof should anything happen to my business. Since 2019, I’ve been training in a variety of disciplines including meditation, cognitive behavioural therapy and behavioural science – health coaching has complemented this offering.

What attracted you to the Health Coach course?

The flexible online study programme offered by CNM really appealed to me as it enabled me to fit study around my busy work schedule and family commitments.

What did you enjoy most about the CNM Health Coach training?

I completed the online health coach course which was fantastic as I could complete it at my own pace. As a mother of two and a business owner, being tied to set study weekends would have been a challenge for me. Studying online enabled me to do more work some weeks and less on other weeks when I was busy with work. I gave myself a monthly goal to complete and very much achieved it. The videos and content were well recorded, engaging and easy to follow.

How has studying the Health Coach diploma changed your life?

I now have my own coaching practice which complements my day-to-day working. It has given me the opportunity to also have a second income.

What are you doing now that you are qualified?

As I also have my own business, I limit my coaching clients to five at a time to ensure they receive the best advice and support during their journey. I also offer group workshops in a variety of different topics.

What do you love about being a Health Coach?

My biggest enjoyment is helping people to make lasting change to their health – this is by far the most rewarding. Watching someone’s life change in front of your very eyes, by becoming happier, healthier and having a new lease of life, is incredible.

What style of coach are you?

Most of my current clients are mature and at a change point in their lives such as retirement. They want to take their health seriously in order to live a long and healthy life with added enjoyment. My main focus is working with people to reduce stress, prioritise self-care and take ownership of their health and life.
