Nadia Malik – Health Coach
It was the perfect foundation upon which I could build my knowledge on how to support those who, like me, had struggled with gut symptoms all their life.
What did you do before learning to become a health coach?
I had a full time career as a fashion model.
Why did you decide to become a Health Coach?
I was diagnosed with IBS when I was 18. I struggled with chronic gut issues for decades without resolution or relief. I realised quite early on that I would have to look for answers myself if I wanted to live a life free from pain and discomfort. That’s when I turned to natural medicine. It changed my world. Not only did I develop a deeper understanding of my own symptoms, I also realised that I was not alone or destined to live a life with my health challenges. Once my daughter was of school going age I decided to enrol in the course at CNM and pursue my passion for healthy living.
What did you enjoy the most about the course?
I can be a bit of a geek when it comes to information and knowledge. I really enjoyed learning about the human body and connecting the dots with how our food and lifestyle impacts our body’s (and how to take control of your body through the right diet and lifestyle).
How has studying the health coach course changed your life?
The health coach course gave me a chance to pursue my passion and realise my true calling in life. It was the perfect foundation upon which I could build my knowledge on how to support those who, like me, had struggled with gut symptoms all their life. I continue to learn and build upon that knowledge every single day. It literally is a course that keeps giving.
What are you doing now that you are a health coach?
I’m helping people from all over the world live a healthier lifestyle and improve their well-being by gaining a deeper understanding of the “food as medicine” approach.
