Cited as one of the ‘Top 25 trainers in the world’ by Men’s Fitness, Gideon has MSc in Integrated Health and has coached top celebrities and sports personalities including Kylie, Adele, Ethan Hawk and Shane McGuigan.
What do you do at CNM?
I lecture for both the nutrition and wellness coach courses on sports nutrition, stress and fatigue, weight loss, and exercise.
What were you doing before joining CNM?
I have been a trainer for 30 years, nutritionist for 10 years and obtained an MSc in integrated health. I am a founding partner in a corporate wellness ( www.kyrosproject.com ) and a supplement ( www.kyrosnutrition.com ) company servicing a diverse range of clients from elite sport to deep mind google.
What sparked your interest in naturopathy?
Following an extensive career running health clubs and coaching exercise and sports nutrition, I wanted to expand my knowledge and clinical practice with naturopathic nutrition.
How do you think a healthy lifestyle affects people’s lives?
Performance is performance, whether you need to learn to walk or run a marathon – I use a holistic healthy lifestyle approach to boost people’s mental and physical performance and add life to their years.
How do you see the Health Coaching industry in the next 3 years?
There is a lot of misinformation around health. We are building an army of knowledgeable and passionate health coaches who can provide credible wellness support, address a major preventative health care need, service lots of people who are searching for the right help.
What advice do you have for anyone thinking of becoming a Health Coach?
There is no greater investment than making time for you and your friends and family’s health and wellbeing. Health coaching should be the answer to start that journey.
