We are looking for a talented person to fill our Student Recruitment role, with the main purpose to grow the business and enrol more students. This job requires persistence, the ability to listen and honest care, to be a successful recruiter. You will be provided with leads coming from calls and emails through our website and other promotional activities. Your job is to follow up on these enquiries by calling the prospect and converting these leads into enrolments. This is a consultation sale, so you will be trained in all the courses and you will be assigned a specific college/region.

The Role

To support our continued expansion, The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) is recruiting a Marketing Executive to join our marketing team at Head Office in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

Core responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role and responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

1- Management of magazine adverts and editorial content

  • Negotiating renewals of contracts
  • Administration and filing
  • Co-ordinating copywriting and placement of content
  • Liaising with the graphic designer for new adverts or alterations
  • Maintaining weekly statistics

2- Digital Marketing

  • Assisting with website content changes
  • Posting events onto digital platforms such as Eventbrite
  • Setting up webinars
  • Creation and management of email newsletters and campaigns

3- Regular stocktakes and ordering of printed collateral, including coordinating changes with key stakeholders and liaising with the graphic designer.

4- Production of exhibition kits to be sent nationally containing promotional collateral and equipment

The ideal candidate has:

  • An eye for detail – can proofread both written copy and graphics.
  • Creative writing skills to enable the writing of student stories into useable content.
  • A passion for health, wellness, nutrition or relevant fields.
  • Strong organisational skills – used to working to deadlines and managing tasks involving the input of others.
  • Ideally, the person will be interested in natural therapies, health, naturopathy, nutrition or related fields.

  • Oversee the growth of the US and Canadian market in terms of enquiries and resulting enrolments.
  • Promote the following courses in the US and Canada: Nutrition, Health Coach, Natural Chief, Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture.
  • Utilise our global network of students, graduates, and contacts to establish our brand in the US and Canada
  • Source PR opportunities and advertising in target territories
  • Gain and secure appropriate Business to Business (B2B) contacts that could support us in promoting the course
  • Support and represent CNM at relevant events, exhibitions and seminars as appropriate
  • Identify new and effective ways to promote events by using speakers, third party companies and varied topics
  • Recruit and manage opinion leaders, influencers and VIPs within the target territory
  • Post and manage the local territory Facebook and Instagram pages
  • Establish Health Talks, Webinars, Events (using CNM Students and Graduates in country and cross-border)
  • Evaluate target territories (knowing local regulations, accreditations, licensing and competitors)
  • Contributing to and carrying out the Marketing Plan for the US and Canada market

CNM is currently looking for a productive and enthusiastic individual to fulfil a supporting role in a busy and dynamic environment in the Student Support Department.

The ideal candidate would have excellent written and spoken communication and a friendly and supportive manner by e-mail and phone.

You must also have good organisational skills and be highly competent with Microsoft Office and Excel. Most students’ enquiries come via e-mail, so it would be beneficial if you were a fast typist.

The ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Speak confidently to a wide range of people over the phone.
  • Communicate efficiently and in good English via e-mail and telephone.
  • Prioritise tasks and organise their work daily
  • Work on Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • You must have a positive interest in the health and wellbeing industry.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Enrolling students on their course and send them a welcome e-mail
  • Answering any queries before they begin their course
  • Answering any queries regarding course access issues
  • Processing all cancellation or deferral requests
  • Advising the Director of Studies on any costs or queries relating to students taking time out from their course
  • Rescheduling students
  • Guiding students if they wish to change their specialism and complete new enrolment forms as necessary
  • Issuing students with confirmation letters that they are studying with the college
  • Checking and approving any requests from students concerning additional support in their studies
