The perfect time to be a Health Coach!

Anna Shelomentseva – Health Coach Graduate

Empowering people to make positive changes to their health has never been more important and I’m so grateful to work in this industry.

What did you do before studying at CNM?

After graduating from a medical university, I worked as a doctor for many years.

What made you want to become a Health Coach?

Health and wellness have always been a priority for me, however, after the global pandemic, it’s become even more important. Maintaining optimal health is a key driver for many people now. As a doctor, I’ve always understood the importance of how information should be presented to people. Circulating credible and trustworthy information is vital, especially when it’s about health and wellbeing. This led me to studying health coaching at CNM.

What attracted you to the Health Coach course?

The course structure and content really appealed to me and it covered everything I wanted to learn. Being able to study in-class and have additional coaching workshops allowed me the time and experience needed to master my health coaching skills.

What did you enjoy most about the CNM Health Coach Training?

It was great to refresh my university knowledge about body systems and the science behind health. I was able to learn new skills relating to the coaching process and how to set up a health coach business. The course was very well organised and the training material was comprehensive. The lecturers were knowledgeable and experienced, and they were able to provide valuable insights and advice based on their own experience in the industry. I’m incredibly grateful for the knowledge, diverse content, methodological materials, and the opportunity to attend the health coach course.

How has studying the Health Coach diploma changed your life?

The knowledge and skills I gained on the course have better equipped me to help my clients achieve their health goals and enabled me to work more efficiently.

What are you doing now that you are qualified?

As I’m already working as a practitioner, I plan to expand my practice by adding health coaching as a service. I’m also a lecturer at CNM, teaching the biomedicine and ‘how the body works’ courses. My goal is to spread knowledge about health and wellbeing and assist as many people as possible.

What do you love about being a Health Coach?

I love helping my clients find balance in their lives and achieve healthy dietary and lifestyle habits that require minimum sacrifice on their part. I truly believe that an individualised approach is key when working with clients. To discover the root of a problem and to find suitable solutions, I work on a 1-1 basis with my clients. It’s so rewarding to see my clients achieve their goals and live more fulfilling lives.

What style of Coach are you?

I have a holistic view and approach, and specialise in gut health.
