I love sharing what I’ve learned with others

Hanieh Vidmar – Health Coach Graduate

The fact that I could study on my time was amazing – being a business owner and a mum, it fit perfectly into my timetable

What did you do before studying at CNM?

Between 2014 – 2020, I wasn’t working, I was a full time mum but I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I dabbled in various things but nothing ever stuck. During lockdown, October 2020, I started working for the NHS. In 2021, I opened a health & wellness clinic with my sister offering blood tests as well as other health services and I suddenly had my light bulb moment – I decided to become a Health Coach. I had heard so much about CNM and they deliver their different services fantastically so it was a no brainer, I signed up to complete my Health Coaching diploma with CNM.

What made you want to become a Health Coach?

I used to work in a pharmacy and I used to give out so many prescriptions to so many different people and I used to always question it and tell myself everyday “surely, there is more to health than this?”. Of course, I couldn’t say all the things I wanted to say to the customers and patients. With health coaching, I can give people the “more to health” aspect of wellbeing that we miss every single day. I want to help people and give them the right tools they need to take better control of their health and wellbeing and to empower them to make all the positive and necessary changes in their lives and for their families.

What attracted you to CNM’s Health Coach course?

Everything about it attracted me to it. The modules, the teachers, the way it’s taught, the reputation of the college. When I spoke to CNM about the Health Coaching course, I was the most excited I’d been in a long time. Also the fact that I could study on my time was amazing – being a business owner and a mum, it fit perfectly into my timetable. The support and live tutorials was an absolute bonus.

What did you enjoy most about the course?

It’s difficult to say what the most enjoyable aspect was, I loved all of it. However, what really got me excited was the different sections and modules of the course. I couldn’t wait to get started and work my way through all the lessons and share and implement what I’ve learned.

How has studying the Health Coach diploma changed your life?

It’s empowered me to take more and better control of my health. It’s given me the skills, knowledge, motivation and confidence to add more services to my business, share what I’ve learned and deliver a service I am super passionate about.

What are you doing now that you are qualified?

I want to add coaching to my business and deliver group coaching sessions, set various better-health challenges to empower people to make key changes in their lives and to speak at different events to share my knowledge and passion. I want to simplify the simplified so that people can not only understand why doing certain things is important but to also know how to do it without the overwhelm. I want to focus on stress, mood and the immune system. Living in a fast paced world, we tend to forget to slow down, stop and take care of ourselves. I’d love to contribute to that as I, myself, am guilty of on constantly being on the go, taking care of my family, business and studying. Through my own experiences and lessons, and with the knowledge I’ve gained through the CNM Health Coaching Course, I want to offer guided support people into making key changes in their lives.

What do you love about being a Health Coach?

Helping people and sharing my passion. I love the conversations I get to have, the analogies I can share, the different things I can create to empower and teach people and I love sharing what I learn and continue to learn with people to help them become stronger, healthier and happier. Being a health coach and studying for it taught me that being healthy isn’t boring, nor time consuming, or tasteless or hard work. It taught me that we can be healthier without the graft or the misconceptions of what being and living healthily is. I use the lessons learned and tools taught at home with my family every single day and I love it when people share their stories with me and ask me questions – I love sharing what I’ve learned with others and I love it even more when they implement things I share and feel better for it.
