The Course has provided me with a greater understanding of what ‘health’ means
What date did you graduate?
What made you want to become a Health Coach?
I have always had a passion for nutrition and have a love for healthy food. My younger self always googled health benefits of certain foods and looked at healthy recipes to make. I have always believed that food can make us sick however, it can also be our medicine. I wanted to progress my knowledge and understand the true health benefits from food on the body so I could help others and develop my food recipes.
What attracted you to CNM’s Health Coach course?
I extensively researched health coaching courses across the UK and this course stood out the most due to the detailed aspects of how the body works covering every system in the body and the associated pathologies, which acted as a foundation of biomedicine. Other modules such as nutrition for everyday health, fitness, marketing ensured that I felt the course was covered in every aspect of becoming a well-rounded health coach.
What did you enjoy most about the course?
Due to my love of food as medicine, I particularly loved the ‘how the body works’ and ‘nutrition for everyday living’ as this is intrinsically linked into what I have always believed about health. I found it fascinating and thought the depth and coverage of the course was fantastic.
How has studying the Health Coach diploma changed your life?
The course has impacted my life by allowing me to have a deeper understanding of every system in the body and helping to find natural foods which support different pathologies. I love helping friends and family and providing guidance whenever possible.
What are you doing now that you are qualified?
I am using my qualification to assist my recipe development on my food blog. I create healthy recipes to inspire others to make better choices when it comes to food. My recipes are gluten-free, refined-sugar free and mostly plant based. I have a food blog on Instagram called Cook_with_charlie. I also have a love for food photography and this is something that I am constantly refining and developing. My goal is to become a full-time recipe developer and food photographer.
What do you love about being a Health Coach?
I love how it opens my eyes to the world and has furthered my knowledge regarding what is healthy, and why, for the human body. I am naturally creative and being a Health Coach has enabled me to develop my recipe content to inspire and provide scrumptious food that brings a wide variety of health benefits.
