Anna Garcia – Health Coach Graduate
I now have a profitable business as a Health Coach working exclusively with women with period and hormonal dysfunction
What did you do before studying at CNM?
After graduating from Bristol University, I fell pregnant and after my son’s birth, the COVID-19 Pandemic broke out. I wasn’t able to get a job and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life knowing I couldn’t be a doctor now & I had a young baby to look after. Eventually, I was self-employed working as a virtual assistant but longed for something in the healthcare industry that impacted the lives of women.
What made you want to become a Health Coach?
After I had run out of pharmaceutical options to manage my PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and doctors basically gave up on me and said I would never be a healthy weight, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I contacted a dietician to learn the basics of nutrition and then combined this with research data on PCOS Management. In 30 days my life had completely changed by putting diet first. I came off all my medications and felt a huge calling to help millions of other women do the same; to manage PCOS.
What attracted you to CNM’s Health Coach course?
I was enrolled in studying Nutritional Therapy at CNM already, but I realized I couldn’t wait that long to start helping women. So I took the course and completed it within 6 months, during every spare hour into it and simultaneously building a presence on social media.
What did you enjoy most about the course?
I loved the coaching modules, especially getting to practice with friends, family, and my social media followers.
How has studying for the Health Coach diploma changed your life?
I now have a profitable business as a Health Coach working exclusively with women with period and hormonal dysfunction. I’ve become the person I always wanted to be but didn’t know exactly who she was. I am looking forward to continuing my studies and learning more about nutrition and female reproductive health
What are you doing now that you are qualified?
Seeing clients, speaking at events, and working on my lifestyle as well as continuing my personal PCOS management. I’m actively changing lives, helping women lose weight, ovulate and get pregnant.
What do you love about being a Health Coach?
Taking clients through a structured plan to help them follow through with the recommendations and meet their goals. Seeing the results that come through set my heart alight, especially when I’m sent scans of babies growing in the womb of my clients!
