I decided to take back control of my health

Jessica Legore – Health Coach Graduate

I immediately applied what I was learning to my daily eating habits and could notice the difference straight away.

What did you do before studying at CNM?

I worked for many years within International Buying & Merchandising for different fashion brands in different countries (UK, Canada & Switzerland). It was interesting and fun, but also demanding and at times extremely stressful.

What made you want to become a Health Coach?

I had always been interested in this field as I studied Psychology at University, with a focus in Health Psychology. But I took a detour after University and stepped into the fashion world. 10 years in the business and I was suffering from stress and not taking very good care of my body and mental state. So during the Covid lockdowns I decided to take back control of my health by: regularly meditating, eating nourishing food and moving my body in enjoyable ways. I was starting to feel better within myself; I had clearer skin, less anxiety, better sleep, hair growth, weight loss and lots of energy. I wanted to help others as I would have loved someone to support and advise me on my health journey and that’s when I discovered Health Coaching.

What attracted you to CNM’s Health Coach course?

I loved the 360 approach where you learnt about how the body works, nutrition, movement, coaching and business. I didn’t see this holistic approach from many other Health Coach courses. I also really liked that the course was conducted online and you could go through the lectures and assignments at your own pace, as I was completing this diploma alongside a full time job so I needed this flexibility.

What did you enjoy most about the course?

Two parts stood out the most to me. Firstly the nutrition module as it was very informative. I immediately applied what I was learning to my daily eating habits and could notice the difference straight away. Secondly the coaching module, working with actual clients was scary but thrilling. It was a steep learning curve, but by the time I got to my 6th client I felt I was getting the hang of it and I could really see myself as a successful Health Coach.
How has studying the Health Coach diploma changed your life?

Studying the Health Coach diploma has opened my eyes to the naturopathic approach to health and this is only the start. I want to continue to learn and grow. I am looking to undertake my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training and also being a Bach Flower Specialist.

What are you doing now that you are qualified?

I am growing my business, The Health Triangle, starting to work with clients from all around the world over through Zoom. Currently I am preparing for a stress management workshop that I will conduct in a local yoga studio. It will hopefully be the first of many, I am nervous but excited.
What do you love about being a Health Coach?

I love that I get the chance to help people from being stressed to serene and for them to feel happy and healthy in their bodies and mind. Thank you to everyone at CNM Health Coach for their support and giving me this new opportunity for a new career path.
